Gemini 3.8 Flash just beat Fable 5.1 and GPT at making an actual X-Wing. I gave 4 models the same one-shot challenge via @aimlapi: build a fully interactive X-Wing from scratch. Fable 5.1 — 34m · ~32K · ~$1.95 GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra — 41m · ~37K · ~$0.91 Gemini 3.8 Flash — 28m · ~33K · ~$0.15 GLM-5.3 Flash — ~53m · ~20K output · ~$0.01 Fable and GPT built richer, more detailed models. But Gemini got the silhouette, proportions and textures closest to the original. For ~$0.12, I didn’t expect it to be the one that actually looked most like an X-Wing.
