BOOM! Claude CAD makes a real sheet metal enclosure! Who says AI can't do "real" engineering? Fable 5 is an absolute joy to build with. Very rarely a miscommunication. Fed it a STEP envelope for size and showed it a picture of the louvers I wanted. Gave it PEMs and screws/washers from McMaster Carr and Claude placed everything. 69 parts (hehe) in the assembly. Clearly the skills I'm building are having an impact on the build. Clearly, Fable is a very good model for mechanical design. Clearly, build123d and OCCT is up to the task of professional design. This is a variation of a real design I've done in the past. When I did it in my professional capacity, I was slammed, kicking out over 100 parts for a new design, so I gave the STEP envelope to a design/drafter and he did the sheet metal parts. No design/drafter anymore, but now I've got Claude CAD. Also, a side-quest with Fable fixed a hidden error in my MCP enbled viewer. So good!
