I tested Step 5 Preview from @StepFun_ai on Duolingo’s FY25 filings. Duolingo reported $414.1M in net income. But $256.7M of that was a one-time tax benefit. Excluding it, net income was closer to $157.4M. Step 5 Preview caught that distinction without prompting, then kept going: → Revenue grew 39%, while bookings grew 33%. → 2026 guidance implied roughly flat adjusted EBITDA dollars despite higher revenue. → It caught and fixed two bugs in its own financial model before I reviewed the file. Then I changed one input. It automatically ran 64 fresh checks. All passed. That’s the part that stood out: not just finding an insight, but building a deliverable, checking it, and checking it again when assumptions changed.
