I rebuilt my Sol-designed PCB with GPT-6 Astra. It flagged the switch ambiguity before fabrication. The new board is also 69% larger. Same XIAO battery-adapter brief: two 1.25 mm connectors, a side button, and an LED. GPT-5.6 Sol: 22 × 14 mm, 7 parts. The first board needed a bodge wire because the switch contacts were mapped incorrectly. It now works in my project. GPT-6 Astra: 26 × 20 mm, 13 parts. I approved replacing the mechanical latch with a stocked Panasonic button and an electronic latch. Better-documented switch contacts, but more components, board area, and standby power. Both passed ERC/DRC. Both also omitted dedicated test points. The Astra board has not been built yet. Attached: both 3D previews and schematics, with the original Sol design preserved for comparison. Next, I'll have the Astra board fabricated and assembled by JLCPCB, then test it with a current-limited supply and the XIAO. I'll share the first-power-on result, including any rework needed. Would you accept that size/complexity trade-off for this board? Follow along for the PCBA and bench results.
